Dear Brett, I am appalled to hear that this travesty has happened. As I sit here bewildered, I wonder what kind of horrible being could do such a thing? Not I, that's for sure.

Oh, wait, yeah, it was me. Sorry. Ever since that one shift I worked at SubWay in my teens, I've sought revenge against every sandwich born or bred onto bread. I hope you can someday forgive me and my evil ways.
